Last night, November 2, 2010, those who openly advocated "taking back their nation" and conversely putting us back in our place, completed one step in that process. The day before returning to Chicago from the Holy Day of Atonement address by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan at the Tampa Convention Center, a group of sisters from Columbus, Ohio, the Delaware Valley and Florida, made their way to the International Administrative Bldg. for a brief tour of its complex which included a small, two-room exhibit on the history of the Shriner's origin in North America. We were all surprised when we arrived at the information and reception desk by a young woman who welcomed us and gave us complete access to the exhibit rooms. We were also free to take photos of any part of the display that was immaculately stored in glass encasements on the floor and on the walls. We had no guide nor was there anyone present as security. What we saw and recorded was really
phenomenal and extended our interest to visit the nearby Shriner's Temple in which once again we had easy and open access and met the Chief Potentate of the building complex.Read more at www.finalcall.com

And while I'm not prepared to forego criticism of some of his economic advisors, or his decision to remain in the quagmire that is the Afghan War, I am prepared to tip my hat to him, just because of one thing he told members of the Trotter Group of African American columnists in the Roosevelt Room on Oct. 15.
